Despite the evidence, this comic is not dead

Yeah, you heard me! I am still working behind the scenes over here, but the comic is getting a massive overhaul. In fact, I'm going to be starting over from the beginning. I've been working heavily on improving my art, especially scenery. And at the same time, I've learned to draw the characters much closer to their official looks.

The new comic is going to be full-colour, so it's going to take longer to make. Also, rather than a page at a time, I'm going to upload a full chapter at once each time. I think it'll be more satisfying to read that way. When I get back home in a couple of weeks, I'll put up a sample of what it's going to look like.

It's really encouraging to know that even though (in my opinion) the comic looks dreadful and hasn't updated in over a year, I'm still gaining fans. That's ridiculous. You people are nuts. But if you think it's good now, hopefully you're in for a pleasant surprise when it returns.

So... yes, I am still working on this. Progress is just... what I'd have to describe as "a little slow" right now. I'm currently working two jobs, which doesn't leave me much free time. But, thanks to those two jobs, I was able to buy a Wii and 360 in order to "research" Sonic 2006 and Secret Rings. I have to say that, despite all the reviews to the contrary, I enjoyed playing Sonic 2006 a lot more than Secret Rings. Perhaps because I didn't keep dying because the controller wouldn't let me Homing Attack.

I have been working a lot on the cast page, and some character images and profiles that aren't on there yet are finished up. I'll add them when those characters make their appearance in the comic.

So, I didn't do a proper update for last week. I did, however, make a front cover and chapter title page. Now it feels more like a real manga!

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I'm really looking forward to getting this comic running on a more regular schedule. I need to learn to draw a bunch of robots for the next page...

See you soon!

Okay, so maybe I should explain what it is I'm trying to do here. What I'm planning on doing is a kind of comic retelling of the stories of the major Sonic games 1991-present. They won't be identical to the game stories (since many of the games have little story to begin with), and things will be changed to fill some plotholes, but at the same time it'll be fairly accurate. I won't be adding any pointless extra characters, and I won't be changing events because I didn't like them. If you don't like a change I make... well, I'm doing this for me, not you. So there.

Hopefully I'll have a few pages up by next week. WATCH THIS SPICE!?
